밥 먹었어? (Have you eaten?)
밥 먹었어 (Bap meogeoseo?) is a common Korean greeting similar to the English ‘How are you?’
This phrase directly translates to ‘have you eaten rice?’ in which case ‘rice’ refers to any/all foods.
These images combine specific memories from a three year stay in South Korea. The initial images
are intentionally printed in a manner which give way to heat, moisture and handling.
They are fallible and delicate- which shows in the reactions between ink, paper and food.
